Question Plugged in an hdmi into my gpu, my pc shut down and when I turned it back on blue screen spinning circle.

After repeating that process a couple times it now says there's an issue starting and takes me to a bunch of options I've tried all but I think basically factory resetting since I have a mixing program that i can't find my purchase key for. I've replaced my CPU and GPU since then and same issue. I'm lost. I don't know much at all so even the simplest questions or advice is welcome.

Old CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600x
Old GPU geforce gtx 580
New CPU AMD Ryzen 9 3900x

what the storage? try reinstalling the os?

I'm not sure if I've reinstalled the OS which most likely means I haven't. I'll google how to do that amd get back to you.

So I should try to do the system restore? From safe mode? I can get to safe mode but I though system restore would cause me to lose everything which isn't the case apparently.

I'll try that as soon as I get a chance. Do you have any idea what could have happened? I mean I know it could be a million things but I haven't seen anyone have this issue amd I've googled a lot

sound like a short. are you using standoff when you build the pc? from the motherboard to the case.
the the shut down cause data issue on the ssd.

Yes it has standoffs, so it could be my ssd?
