Do you think these are speculation since it takes such a long time for partners to do pcb's or is this likely them getting the tech prior to release and having already gotten their designs approved and manufacturing started?

I would think the 2080ti would sport more Vram. I'll keep my 1080tis unless sli support goes up or a single card crushes FPS in every game. That price will drive me away. If there was a time to strike for AMD in the GPU market right now would be the time.

If AMD released a card capable of competing with the current 1080 at the price of a 1060 (which I think is very on par with this whole Ryzen scene) I think they would take the market by storm.

Just my opinion.

Please, please, PRETTY PLEASE, don't buy it. Buy none of the new cards. This is the one and only way to MAKE them lower the price and, as we all know nVidia are making a lot of profit, of our purchases.

It's madness. $1,000 for a graphics card? Are we that silly?

How dear you ask that question!! Of course we are! :D
I 100% agree with you that $1000 for a GPU is to high if you ask me. But there are sooooo many people out there that has that kind of money to spend on a GPU and would not care even if the card did cost $1500 or even $2000.
Nvidia knows this.
I want one myself. Do I need it? To be 100% honest no I most likely dont need one for the kind of load I put my computer under.But.... I want one all the same.

Leaks have indicated Nvidia will do exactly this with the GTX 2060. Benchmarks if accurate show it is faster than a 1080 and it is expected to sell for roughly the same price as the current 6GB 1060, albeit with 1GB less memory. AMD is completely dead in the water right now. Without another mining bubble, there is no reason to buy any of their gaming cards.

Why? What game is going to run better with 16GB of RAM vs 11? None. If you don't like the price now, then you certainly aren't going to after they increase the price more because they added additional useless expensive RAM just to make the specs look better.

If you want 16GB, just wait for the the RTX Titan.

Guru3D is reporting the 2080 Ti and 2080 at release prices (I assume that means FE editions) of $899 and $699 respectively (USD). So if aftermarket AIB partners are asking $100 more for their variants, that would not be out of the norm. Also, just as a reminder, the GTX 1080 Ti and 1080 FE editions launched at $699 and $599 respectively, so the price gap has grown a little between the Ti and non-Ti. But my guess is the GTX 2080 will be faster than the GTX 1080 Ti.

So based on that, and if these new Turing-based 2xxx series hold up to their rumors in performance boost over Pascal, that extra $100 will be more than worth it. Especially with a single GPU and true 4K running GTX 2080 Ti that is almost certainly going to be faster than the Pascal Titan X. Keep things in perspective folks. One glaring omission here is the NVLINK technology which is the next level of SLI support that means two GPUs can share their memory for more bandwidth. Nobody knows what that will mean for games however if developers continue turning away from dedicating resources to coding for multiple GPUs.

Your review solidifies that assumption. I've been looking for some Best Graphics Card around $700 max and can't decide between Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Founder’s Edition or AMD Radeon RX 480 (8GB), both of these are reviewed here https://www.coretricks.com/best-graphics-card/
Which would you pick?
Thanks for your help. :)

1080Tis all over ebay for less than $500... should I grab one now (currently using 1080). Would like to 4k/60 which is *almost* there with the 1080 at 2111mhz.

That would suggest there is no plan for, and no room for a 2070 (RTX or GTX)...

Remember, you're dealing with rumors and potentially bogus material that may have been meant to make liars of people or keep people away from AMD.

we won't know facts until actual specs are released (not leaked) and benchmarks from reputable parties.

Its best not to hijack a thread with this question. Additionally, a RX480 and GTX1080Ti are not even in the same performance class.

Headline is a bit misleading. RTX 2080 TI OVERCLOCKS will be $1000 and RTX 2080 OVERCLOCKS will be $800. It doesn't say much at all about the RTX 2080 TI at all. These are specialty cards. Kind of different.

I was hoping these cards would have HDMI 2.1; guess we'll be sticking with DisplayPort if we want to do 4K at greater then 60Hz on future monitors.

Lotta folks who have no concept of the economics of this technology. Any time you see somebody claiming that Nvidia is just jacking up prices for no reason you can pretty much just ignore it; humans tend to fix concepts in their minds and rarely update them, so people who built years ago no longer are really connected with the reality of the modern costs of these things.

Does NV want to make more money? absolutely. Do the RAM makers want to make more money? yes, and they're known price fixers. But if you think a gigantic 750mm2 chip with several brand new graphics techs including brand new RAM can be produced for the same price scale as your old 970 & 290, etc, you are far more out of your mind than people who buy the "overpriced" cards.
