Portable desk solution?

Hi guys, I figured this might be the best place to ask a question like this. Right now I am using my HDTV as a monitor, and it looks great, I love playing games on it. However I do have a problem. Currently I am using a snack table as a table for my mouse/keyboard and it's just not enough room.

Would anyone have any ideas what would be a good portable/moveable table to use in a situation like this? I have pretty tight living space. I just want enough room for my mouse and keyboard, which would be the surface's only purpose.

I know it's sort of odd but that is what has made figuring out the best solution for this kinda difficult. I appreciate any help you guys can provide!

two snack tables. twice the room.

joking aside, there is a table out there that have L shaped legs which go under the couch so it pulls up right to you. if the width isn't enough then you could replace the top board with a board of the correct width.

if you have a basic knowledge of power tools you could even make your own.

I was trying to do two snack tables actually, just feels... Well pretty ghetto lol. Plus all the legs underneath make it really difficult to maneuver.

Making my own may be the solution, I just don't have the tools.

If there's any other suggestions I'd love to hear them.

I was suggesting something like this:

there might be a wider option available as i know i've seen laptop versions. if you wanted something bigger then as i said above you could probably get a bigger board and replace it (keeping weight in mind). the only tool required would be a screwdriver (but a drill would be handy).

search google images for "couch desk" and you will find a few more.. interesting concepts.

there are already what some companies might consider "pro gaming" desks available. feel free to laugh at some of the ideas.

i'm not sure that couch gaming could be considered pro gaming. the couch is usually reserved for consoles. those who want to use the pc from the couch are usually stuck with either a board on their lap, a pull up desk like i mentioned, or a wireless kb with trackball.

if i was in your situation i'd be looking for some sort of wide pull up table sort of deal as i don't like to be cramped while gaming. if you wanted to recline then the only really good option is a lapdesk.

Wow those look crazy... My main problem of course is that I am using an office chair, so things designed for someone sitting at a couch might not work out best for me.

Still trying to find something I can use though, some kind of pull up desk like you suggested. That or custom made.
