[SOLVED] Power supply required for RX 580 and bottlenecks.

My current system has a i7 870(1st gen) 8gb RAM and an GTX 1050 2gb with the cooler master 500 power supply I was planning to upgrade the graphic card to an RX 580 8gb. Is the cooler master 500w power supply efficient to power the RX 580, and how much will the cpu bottler neck the RX 580.

It's enough for an RX 580 though you might be pushing it a bit, if that PSU is rather old you might want to look into replacing it.

Bottleneck will depend on the game. In a modern CPU heavy title at 1080p AC Odyssey for example it may hold back a 580 quite a bit, in less cpu heavy titles not so much

That PSU wasn't very good when it was new, and it won't have got any better as it aged. It'll probably work, but who knows for how long.
