[SOLVED] Power Supply Software Error

Hi,

I have Eaton 5E850iUSB UPS and use Eaton UPS Companion software for real-time UPS status.
It happens rarely but after logging in Windows 10, I get the following error:

It doesn't go away and stays like that after every restart.
Disconnecting USB cable from UPS doesn't solve it.
Uninstalling software helps until error happens again.

Anyone has Eaton UPS here and uses their software?

I will just remove their <Mod Edit> software then.

I have same issue on win 11. Software worked just fine but recently this error occured. Did you solved it and if so than how?

I uninstalled before updated my software to latest version according to technical support's advice. Haven't had issue since but I don't rule out the possibility that it can happen again.

Someone told me to install UPSmart monitor software. It's generic and should work with different UPS. The free 1.5 version is an old one and isn't not available on official website. However you can find it online.

The website is iffy a bit. It was under maintenance and still has errors so just to be safe make sure to run downloaded file through Virus Total. I found newer version of software some time ago hosted on Russian website but don't remember it's address.

Maybe someone on forum knows a better source and for newer version.
