I have an Asus GTX 1080, and whenever I set "prefer max performance" under power management in Nvidia control panel settings, the GPU's temp would go up to, and stay at 45c forever. Normally, under "adaptive", the GPU temp is around 32c ish.
I would like to know if this is normal, and whether putting it under "prefer max performance" would actually improve FPS in games at all. Thanks!
