Price Effect of DDR4 on DDR3

Hi I have 8GB of Mem installed right now want to Upgrade to 16GB soon.
But i just wonder with DDR4 comming out soon will the Price change a lot.
Will it get cheaper or more Expensive.

I'm thinking it will get more expensive, maybe not initially but eventually it will become more expensive. Look at what happened to ddr2 when ddr3 came out. Old/legacy tech becomes more expensive as new tech is produced in greater/cheaper quantities.

it be at lest 12 months before intel makes a chipset for retail space for ddr-4 right now ddr-4 just being qa in server space.

Ok so it will be the same with DDR3 to 4. I still remember when i tried to buy some DDR a while back. They where so expensive since DDR2 got mainstream they said the production of DDR stopped. So it will be the same this time.......

12months seems kinda long since they assume Haswell will come out soon and i guess they will be on DDR4.
