Hello everyone, I'll put all my hardware down below then explain my problem. sorry if my english isn't the best.

Motherboard: Gigabyte A320M S2H rev. 1.1
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600G
GPU: XFX RX 5600 XT THICC II PRO [used]
RAM: 2 x 8GB 3200mhz Hyperx
PSU: NZXT C750 750w
1 x SSD 128GB
1 x M.2 SSD 500GB
1 x HDD 320GB

So my problem is that i used to have a r5 2600 with a gtx 1050ti, same ram, same motherboard and same data storage, but different psu i had a corsair cx550 and i decided to upgrade my pc buying first this new cpu (r5 5600g) then a gpu (rx 5600xt) i was using the 5600g with my old 1050ti and everything was working properly, then i got the 5600xt and when i switched to this new gpu, the first time that i launch the pc it turned on, lasted on for like 5 min then it went off (keep in mind that i still had the cx550w psu in) so I tried to turn on the pc several times again and it wasn't turning on, all the fans and rgb would last on like less than a second it feels like and then everything will shut down but after like a couple of seconds the rams rgb would turn on but that's it.

So i talked to some guys and they told me that my psu was the problem, so i bought a new one (nzxt c750w) i went back to home installed it and surprise it did the same thing, it would turn on for like a second then shut down right away. then ppl started to tell me that the gpu was the problem, but i went to my brother's house and we tested the gpu in his pc setup and everything worked perfectly, we had it on for like 30 min, installed drivers, checked temps and everything was working perfectly. so I guess that the gpu isn't the problem right?

What else can I do? I went to a tech guy and left the pc there so they would check it and they told me that the motherboard couldn't handle the new gpu, they told me that they installed a 1080 and it also wasn't turning on but when they tried with a 1050ti like the one i had and a gt730 it was working properly.

  • I have my bios updated to the version f55 which is 1 before the newest.
  • I already reset the bios
  • tried diff psu
  • I have selected as first option to boot the pci connection.

One more thing to say is that when the gpu it's plugged into the pc, all my fans would spin and the rgb turn on but the gpu fans wouldn't turn on not even for a second or the little rgb that has on top
So now im using the graphics that the r5 5600g has :c

My concern is about buying a new motherboard and what if that ain't the problem, im cut in money right now because college and I already spent money on a new psu.

Your tech guys are wrong about the motherboard not being able to work with either the 1080 or 5600XT. Both will work with the motherboard.

The used 5600XT could be the issue, do you know if it was used for crypto-mining before you bought it?

Verify that both your 8-pin abd 24-pin power connectors are firmly attached to both the motherboard and PSU (assuming PSU is modular).

Since you switched PSUs, make sure you only use the cables that come with the new PSU, none from the previous one.

Are you overclocking anything (CPU, GPU, memory)? If so, stop.

Im not oc anything, but how can it be the gpu if i tested it in my brother's pc and it worked fine?
I posted the same problem in another forum and everyone was telling me that my motherboard was the problem so i really dont know who should i trust lol:sob::sob:

It is not a matter of compatibility.

Your motherboard could be defective, that is a different matter.
