Question Problem with new Samsung LU28R55 ?

Hi folks, I just got a new Samsung monitor for Christmas for my studies and it has 4k60hz. I tried to link it via HDMI with my Lenovo Ideapad S540 but I can only get 30hz. I paid attention specifically for the HDMI to be at least 2.0 standard. Now, I am really desperate because I also tried an HDMI-to-Displayport adapter which won´t work eitherl and I don´t know what to do.

Have you reduced the resolution and see what Hz setting it offers?

But I have another issue, somehow there is no sound coming out of the device 🙁

Re: the sound problem, the monitor has inbuilt speakers? Or do you mean that your Lenovo laptop has no sound itself?

The sound of my monitor won´t work, i don´t know why. It has in-built speakers

Does it show up in windows sound devices at all.

Right-click on the sound icon at bottom-right of desktop and click 'Sound Settings' -Output Devices
Or
Is it listed in Device Manager in the Sound, Video & Game Controllers section.?

Also, double check that it's plugged in to the audio output jack.

Yes it shows up there and when i move the sound bar louder it shows that there is sound graphically but i can´t hear anything

Normally the sound is transmitted via HDMI right?

No unfortunately not and i have no headphones connected

Have you double checked the OSD in the monitor settings regarding the audio settings, making the default source etc. ?

Can you also try the monitor with another pc?

Yes everything is fine with it, unfortunately i dont have another pc

And the tv is the Default device in the windows sound settings ??
