I've been at this for about 3 days now and I'm getting desperate.
I have the following equipment:
Samsung Freestyle Gen 2 Projector
Samsung S61D Soundbar
TP Link Deco mesh network (3 X50 -1 of these is the main Deco unit, 3 X55, 1 X50 Outdoors and one M5)
For something like 3-4 months, this worked flawlessly. The Freestyle was connected to the soundbar via WiFi. Whenever I would turn on the projector, the soundbar would connect instantly, no fuss. Whenever I would turn off the projector, the soundbar would just stay on, that's it. I would ocassionally use it with YouTube music by casting the audio directly to the soundbar, and no issues whatsoever.
A few days ago I moved the soundbar to a different room and connected it to a different projector via Bluetooth, not via Wi-Fi as that particular projector model doesn't support sound over Wi-Fi. I used it there for like 20-30 minutes and then returned it to it's intended spot right next to the Freestyle, they're less than 2 meters away from each other with clear line of sight, and both devices are also at about 3 meters of the satellite deco unit (X55) with very clear line of sight. Up until that point signal has not been an issue, 3 bars, always. When I turned everything back on, the soundbar would not connect to the
Freestyle projector, it doesn't show up in the Freestyle's list of available sound devices to connect.
What I tried
This is where I thought maybe there was something at fault with the hardware itself. But then this happened.
I tried manually connecting the Freestyle to the main Deco unit while leaving the soundbar in the satellite deco unit, and this worked, they both connected, immediately.
This does not work:
Sound bar > Satellite Deco 1 on 5 GHz (signal is very strong)
Freestyle > Satellite Deco 1 on 5 GHz (signal is very strong)
This works:
Sound bar > Satellite Deco 1 on 5 GHz (signal is very strong)
Freestyle > Main Deco on 5 GHz (signal is weak)
The signal of the Satellite Deco 1 to the Main Deco is very strong, so that shouldn't be where the problem's at.
Even though this "works", the main deco unit is quite far away from the Freestyle, and the signal is weak, so using it like this I get frequent buffering, this does not work for me.
Before all this happened I know for a fact that both devices were working while connected to the same satellite deco unit. But after I briefly moved the soundbar to a different room, connected it to a different device via bluetooth, and then returned everything back to how it was (also removing the second device from the list of bluetooth devices in the Freestyle), it just doesn't work.
I'm trying to understand where the problem is. Why would the two devices work together when connected to different Deco units (same freq band, 5 GHz), but not when connected to the same Deco unit? All this after perfectly working for months, without any issues.
Maybe it's worth mentioning that the Deco app has been a pain for months now. Every now and then the app tells me 3-7 deco units can't be found (at least 5 times a day), even though all units have green light and no devices have disconnected from the network. After a while they show up again and the app says everything's working. This was a problem before the freestyle/soundbar issue happened, but I didn't want to leave it out, in case it's related.
Connecting the soundbar via HDMI, optical is not an option, and Bluetooth just creates more problems because I use other bluetooth devices for both the freestyle and the soundbar and I can't get a stable enough setup; I would need to manually connect them to bluetooth every time I wanted to watch something.
Really appreciate the help, this is giving me a headache.

What I tried
- I tried resetting the Freestyle to factory.
- I tried resetting the sound bar to factory.
- I tried resetting the entire network to factory.
- I tried switching both devices to 2.4 GHz.
- I tried switching both devices to 5 GHz.
