Please read the whole thing. Thanks.

So I decided to change my psu, gpu and install an SSD. All went great, until I powered my pc. The psu works, the SSD is completely fine, the gpu lights up, BUT when I connect my gpu to my monitor (HDMI) nothing happens. I tried using a VGA cable on my motherboard with the new gtx 1060 installed and still nothing happens. THEN I decide to put my old GTS 450 back in, connect it with VGA and everything works again.

So what's the problem??

Why did the HDMI cable not work??

What should I do?

If you need specs or info, just ask

Hello MoneyBaker,

I ask you to make sure the GTX1060 is completely compatible with your motherboard. If you already checked, double check. As it sounds, your GTX1060 is not posting with your computer, meaning it is not turning on and initialising. Your motherboard is not accepting the new device, not letting it turn on.

I just checked and it seems to be compatible with my h61m-vs in every way.
So are my cables the problem, because I heard some people mention that their hdmi cables aren't working after changing setups
