Problems with IBM deskstar?

hi, i have a ibm 7200rpm ata100 deskstar and it is making strange noises and locks up when i play starcraft - have any of u ever experienced something like that

now i am thinking of swopping it for another high perfomance drive - what ide drive would u recommend other than a ibm?

IBM´s drives are the best!

But if you want to downgrade you can go for the Maxtor!

I personally haven't had this problem and can't really recommend anything other than IBM. Maybe you were just unlucky
