[SOLVED] problems with sharing a pc by multiple users

Hello guys,

I would like to have your opinion and solution for the following problem.
We work in a small design office and 3 of us are sharing the same PC running windows 10 , simultaneously using 3ds max and archicad for design tasks. We experience lagging and computer running slow every day to the point that we need to restart the PC and then we lose unsaved workd. This is so annoying!
The system configuration is :
_ xeon e5-2695 v3
_ 2X Nvidia GTX 1070
_ 64 GB RAM

My question is if we can set up multiple virtual machines and define and configure hardware resources for each VM? By doing so can we avoid the problem of restarting the main pc if one user has an unresponsive situation and lagging?

A single system for 3DS MAx and archicad, for simultaneous users?
Yes, that will lag. Individual VM's won't make much difference.

Individual systems would make FAR more sense.

On top of that - you'll need three separate software licenses for Windows (on top of the licence you already have), 3DS max etc.

No we are running a single windows and using different users to sign in and work.

With individual VM's, each VM needs its own license.
Each instance of your CAD tools will as well.
