Hello, my PC shuts down autonomously then restarts with a beep sound and displays a message
saying the following problems were detected during boot up: processor thermal trip. what does this mean

Solution
It means your cpu got too hot and shut down to avoid serious damage,
you'll have to give us more info to go on to decide the best course of action but it may involve more fans or reseating your cpu

Hi, just had this same problem, found this thread, installed "Core Temp" (or anything else that provides the CPU temp, and then looked inside my PC case.
I saw that although the CPU fan was working fine, the heat sink under it was completely blocked by dust. Easily cleaned by using a toothbrush and a vacum together.
Problem is solved!
