How can I find out what type and speed of processor my pc
has (for example is it a PII or PIII)?
Thanks

1. Open XP's "Help and Support Center".
2. Click on "Use tools to view your computer information......."
3. Then click on "My Computer Information".
4. Finally, click on "View general system information about this computer".

If Windows is installed right click "My Computer" and select properties. It
should tell the type and speed there. There are also free third party
utilities that can provide lot's of useful information about your computer.
The one that I recommend is called Everest Home Edition.

EVEREST is a free download at www.lavalys.com and is very
useful program. It will tell you just about all you'll ever
need to know.
