It's a build with excess money thrown at it, with the motherboard being where the spending is the worst.
If you need a wifi board, there are still good boards to be had for around half the cost of that approx. $600 Dark Hero one.

The build is paired with a small form factor power supply(SFX) for some reason...

For gaming all I see is a massive waste of money!!!!!!

Thank you for the answers. The shock by the MoBo choice was well anticipated ) In fact, the purpose of the build is beyond gaming and Thunderbolt connectivity out of the box is needed.

It will certainly be fast. I would maybe sacrifice half the ram for faster ram and a 2TB ssd.

Why SFX?

Also, make sure to update your bios asap, you don't want to damage your new CPU.
Thanks. Concerning the RAM, what do you think about this:

Thanks for the latency hint! I noticed the availability of 32G chips like this and is tempted to go for 64G for the future-proof setting, with 2 slots still left available )) -

Here's a cpu that's easier to tame while giving you similar results. Replace the 140mm exhaust fan that's included with this case with the 140mm ARGB fan down below if you desire the full effect.
