I play many games and processor heavy apps but prototype 2 seems to be killing my CPU after about 30 mins. I think its crashing as it reaches 60C but I am unsure if this is the cause. The crash is not producing any mini dumps which might prove useful. Is there a way I can record my temps up to the point of the crash to see what is the final temp before it shuts down. I have a Kuler H20 so I thought overheating would not be an issue.

Thanks in advance.

Try resetting everything to stock voltages and stock clock speeds. See what happens. I noticed you have your bus speed overclocked. That can cause some instability. If you have a Black edition processor you should overclock using the multiplier.

Have you actually looked at your temperatures while playing the game? Are you sure your CPU is overheating? You can use H/W monitor to record your max temperature. Just leave the program open while you play the game. Or is your computer completely shutting off?

Try updating your drivers and look for any updates to the game to rule out a software problem.
