Hi,

I have a

asus p5q-e
quad 8200 2.33 @ 3010
2gb ocz reaper 800mhz 6400 ram at 861mhz
2xhd4850 512mbs in crossfire at stock
creative Emu 1212m soundcard
1 dvd/cd/rw drive
2 sata 300 hds (1tb,250gb)
And a corsair TX750 PSU

I was wondering is this enough power for my rig? Can someone explain this efficiency jargon to me as I haven't really clutched it yet. Reason for query is been getting some random crashes at the end of scenes in games or end of races in GRID. Just cuts to desktop when it starts to load, weird huh!?

Any help greatly appreciated guys,

Thanks

A lot of people - most of them, even - seem to think so. I'm not so sure. When I thought I was finished OC'ing my Q6600, it failed P95 twice at 14 and 18 hours into the test run. My standard is 24 hours.

You have a much better than average PSU. If it's working properly, I doubt if that's your problem. Drivers or thermal problems, perhaps.

Iv heard that 24hrs is a sure standard I must run it again to see if it lasts this long.
I doubt its thermal because my CPU is 33-39 IDLE and 40-58 load, GPUs run 85 when stressed with furmark on 1650x1080 with 8AA extreme burn on etc. Have 2 120mm fans 1 in and 1 out you can feel a good bit of air passing by when your hand is in the case, I have the fans on the cards at 100% constantly too.
I was just thinking, this just started to happen recently. I had my pagefile on a separate partition on the same physical drive as the C: but read that this actually slows down the computer so I moved it back to C: You think this might have something to do with it?
Recently installed 9.1 too so thats another probability.

Cheers for the info
