[SOLVED] psu that is good enough for 1660 ti, 1660 super, or rtx 2060

So have decided to buy a new power supply first before getting a new gpu.

yesterday, I talked with two stores at the shopping mall. Asked what psu they got that has 500w and above capacity.

question to the experts here... which of these would be good for at least a 1660 ti or 1660 super gpu?

from first store:

1. Elite Brand Active PFC 500 watt = 45 usd
2. Elite Brand Active PFC 600 watt = 54 usd

from second store:

1. Seasonic GC Gold rated 550 watt = 76 usd
2. Corsair CV 550 watt = 50 usd
3. MSI MAG 550 watt = 52 usd

that's all they have that is above 500 watt.
today is a friday, I'm going back to the mall on Sunday to buy a new psu.

unfortunately, only talked to the shops over the phone. I could not get more detailed info from the store employees.

9600K @ 5GHz
3600/16 1.35v xmp
Gigabyte single fan 1660 super

Draws just over 300W at the wall. (CPU GPU stress test same time)
I figured anything 400W should be fine.
My 650W PSU is a overkill.

finally have it. Purchased it today at the mall. The store employees said this would be enough for a 1660 series GPU.

bringing my pc to a technician tomorrow, to have the new psu installed.

a little update..

Seasonic GC-550 is now installed and running fine.
hopefully, this psu lasts a long time.

however, I just want to share the scary... but also a bit of an amusing experience on the installation process. So we got the old PSU out, and put in the Seasonic, attached cables. Tied some unused cables to minimize clutter in the case. Powered on the pc... for some reason the Patriot Burst SSD won't boot.. the error given is "boot device inaccessible". The technician tried doing some fixes, took us an hour, but no fix works. Just as I was beginning to despair.. asked the tech if we can recover some files before we format the SSD. He attached the SSD to another pc, and like magic the SSD booted just fine!! I got the important files just to be sure, and put them on a flashdrive. We were given hope since the SSD booted on another pc. We put back the SSD to my pc, and it booted just fine as well, as if nothing has happened. Turned off the pc, turned it on again and it booted fine. Restarted and it booted fine. Whoa.. the problem fixed itself. So the fix to the "boot disc inaccesible error" that I encountered is simply to boot the SSD on another pc, and then put it back. LOL
