Mmmm... Can't wait... Lol... I can already taste the salt and pepper from here. xDDD

Speaking of which, I remembered that I have yet to find out about this.
How's the FSP Aurum 92+ series? I am looking to grab a proprietary PSU for my Lenovo P300. It's an upgrade from a Lite-On 280W to 450W. And it seems to me online that the PSU is a custom FSP Aurum 92+. There doesn't seem to be a review online.
Also, is there a way to use a standard ATX PSU with my Lenovo?

The following are reviews from this power supply. Here comes the commentary. And the power supply is very poor quality based on this limited but good enough review here in which it blew.

No problem installing this new power supply
Well I would hope not! The ATX specification is pretty standard, so unless they misaligned the screw holes, I don't see how it could be difficult to install.

My desktop was acting wierd, crashing down and freezing all the time.I bought this Bestec ATX-300 Power Supply for my HP Pavillion Media Center and solved the problem.
I can't imagine what unit he had before this.

I was really satisfied with the cost as well as it being the correct product.
This person apparently has lots of prior experiences with receiving the wrong product.

This matched the original power unit perfectly and was a snap to install.
I would hope it would match the original unit. It is, in fact, the original unit apparently that you had previously, so why would it not be the same? Did you expect it to secretly be a jack-in-the-box? And the original unit died... so you got the same one?

I'm sure it would be great, but it was the mother board that was bad
I wonder what caused that.

Here is a review on the 650W version http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/fsp-aurum-92-650-w-power-supply-review/ just be aware that Gabriel Torres is really lenient when it comes to calling power supplies good units. Ignore the conclusion, just look at the pages yourself.

The people who said this PSU installed correctly... xDDD Don't they know what ATX is?!!!

And as for the 5th review, so the guy blamed everything but the PSU?!!! I am ready to bet that the guy had all his components die, and still he would be all like, "oh my motherboard so bad" to the highest quality motherboard.

Looks like all Nippon Chemi-Con caps, is it? Or some other caps manufacturer?
The Platinum rating for it is absolutely glorious. But that 60mV ripple... So is it worth paying $104? It's Lenovo proprietary.

I do notice that the 3.3V rail went out of spec on Test 5 of the voltage regulation page. It went down to 3.13V, .01V out of spec. And 60mv on the 12V rail is the same as the EVGA GS series has. I'd say it's an average unit.

And in the overload tests, ripple did get quite high, but to be fair that's drawing more form it than it is rated for.

It actually has all Chemi-Con caps. But the 3.3V rail going out-of-spec is enough for me not to buy it with the better units available for the money. Might as well go the usual EVGA G2 route. It works, it's better.

Ehehehe... Should have been more clear. It's the $114 unit. But they're all the same PSU.
Welp, may as well.

If I were to get the other PSUs, however, is there a way to get the proprietary 14-pin motherboard connector connected to the PSU?

And XxD34tHxX, it's a custom FSP Aurum 92+. Apparently it has all Nippon Chemi-Con caps, and ~92% efficiency except for the full load test, which has 88%.

Yes I know but I think it would be better to spend like 10euro for a new DVD which will be faster, more compatible with new techs like sata 3

XFX XT series? Any idea of the OEM?

I see Newegg lists 3, a 400w, 500w and 600w, all bronze rated. I don't even see them on the XFX website.
