The "new" CX750M really isn't new. It is the same platform, as the old model, with a few updates to components. So basically it is a refresh of an old model.

I have one small problem with this list. Well for my experience anyways. I have an HEC Zephyr 750W power supply that I have had since 2008 and have had zero problems with anything I do to my computer in regards to upgrades. Putting it on the avoid list seems a bit ridiculous.

Their quiet, have plenty of power, good thick shielded wires and plenty of connections. They may not be modular but that doesn't mean one should avoid them.

The admonitions in the tier list are a general applause or warning. Nothing is 100% guaranteed. Top Dog psu right now is the Corsair AXi 1500 but guaranteed someone, somewhere got a bad one. This applies in reverse too. The avoid listing is a general warning that your chances of getting a bad psu are much greater than is reasonable. Even if it's only a 50/50 chance of a good unit, that's still not an acceptable amount. Of course this doesn't discount the fact that no matter what you've added it may not even broach 50% load, still plenty of power, but that unit might just show remarkable amounts of failure after 60% loads but is good upto then.

If one in ten PSUs fail catastrophically, that's really really bad and should absolutely be avoided. But 9/10 people are still going to say "it's fine, what are you worrying about".

I don't see my PSU on this list. The box proclaims it to be a "EVGA 600W 80B" with no other identifying name. It was bought at Best Buy, so I really doubt it's a counterfeit. I'm going to guess this one is not particularly high.

Do you know any good PSU in 650-750w group thats Gold Rated and good ? I live in Pakistan and dont have much options there.

Wow. Out of all those pages, that unit you picked out is about the best there is. Not sure of what if any differences there are in the 3 750w units, the tough power Grand, dps G and the lighted RGB version, but comparatively there are what's best. Only if you bump up the size to @1000w (and about Rs. 4k more to the Corsair HXi will you get better. Go with what you prefer.

I'm only gonna be using a single gpu that will be a GTX 1070 (or maybe rx 490? ). I'm gonna go for a new build in a month and half probably so lets see if there are some solid indications about the RX 490.

Also I was looking for some help on a thread of mine if you or anyone else here is willing to give some advice. Here is the link:

does anyone knows where SuperFlower Leadex Silver 550W/650W stands? there is barely any review on it, and i've read some source saying inside is using CapXon. but since SuperFlower is a good maker, does it make the Silver reliable?
