i´m going to switch from a rmx to a g3 because im having some problems with corsair.
But i´m wondering if the 650w g3 has some noise problems as the 750g2 or above or the 850g3 according to the recent review.

Nah, not hype, it's called faith. Hype is me bragging about the Asus p2b with a pentium2 350MHz that's oc'd to 400MHz that still runs 98SE just fine. 20yrs old, give or take a few months. On its 2nd psu currently a 10yr old CoolerMaster 600 that came from my old p4. The original 10yr old psu was a Bestec. Couldn't afford the Seasonic I wanted. It was a choice, Voodoo2 and crappy psu or no gpu and good psu. 10 yrs on a crappy psu that came with a 90day warranty. That's hype.

ROFLMAO - My favorite was an Intel Pentium 500MHz. Would have been sometime around 1993 or 1994. I think the psu was a Corsair model. Eventually upgraded everything.

Oh ok. So would something like THIS be better to use for modding a console case?

Hi!
Will you update the list soon? :)
I was just wondering because I need a small PSU for me first and 'must be perfect' build.

Why are the EVGA 500/600B and 430/500W in tier 3? The 500/600B perform like the Corsair CX (green label), which is in tier 4, and the 430/500W is a downgraded version of that design with worse ripple.

Also, why are the Corsair CX (grey label) not split from the older green models and in a higher tier?

The CX (green) aren't intended for gaming use, by any stretch of the imagination. Even Corsair states as much. So when paired with an intensive gaming load with its sudden and possibly large draws, life expectancy of a CX tends to plummet, 18 months is about average. That's why they are tier 4. Decent general purpose replacement psus, lousy gamers. Although still trying to figure out who makes a general purpose, public user pc that needs a 850w psu.

Well a lot of people don't like running the machine at over 50% of said wattage on the box/PSU so we're looking at a general purpose 425W machine which still doesn't make much sense.

Okay fine, but the EVGA B and W units are no better.
