Why is that if pcpartpicker estimates it not nearly that high? Honest question, I have no idea about this stuff. If I just have one 980ti, pcpartpicker estimates it at 460W, so will 550 or 650 work?

Wait, what?

970 Sli needs a recommended 700w unit from RealHardTechX. They tend to overestimate just a bit.

Also from that list a 980 Ti needs a recommended 600w unit same as a Titan X.

I do believe PCPartPicker estimates max draw. So that's not recommending you get a 506w power supply it's telling you the system will use 506 watts. You always want a couple of hundred watts headroom. Making the RealHardTechX recommendation of 700 watts right on the money.

Ok, thanks! I'll grab a 750w G2 then! Are there any indications performance wise that would be a warning that the PSU is insufficient for what I'm trying to do?

No the list is for the entire system. I have a 660w power supply I'm using for a single GTX 780 right now and will likely be running a GTX 980 Ti in a few weeks.

Will that be sufficient for overclocking a 980ti though?

So, this PSU will allow me to both upgrade to a 980ti and overclock it? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438048&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

How do I find out how much wattage my entire system is using?

Yes, easily. Also a very good unit for that price.

To check system wattage you can buy something like a Killawatt meter. Or just check tech sites for reviews of the video card you are considering. They check power consumption in pretty much all reviews.

For that price I'd just go with the EVGA B2 750w. Give yourself some room to play and spend less money.

The Antec HCG620M uses Seasonic as the OEM. It's based on the Seasonic M12II-620 with minor differences, mostly on the modular PCB. It's based on the classic outdated double forward group regulated design.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I have no choice then but to get a Seasonic M12ii 520 evo. Since everything in this list is crap.
