Update. It seems Newegg is now showing about five "new arrivals" that are all Capstone series G units. I'm not finding any reviews on a G series Rosewill capstone unit. Have these been reviewed anywhere yet?

"The Capstone G is Enhance. I really hope Rosewill isn't taking a page out of Corsair's playbook and is backsliding"

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that's exactly what they're are doing!

They prob have found that they can't sell enough better quality units, and prob suspect EVGA is getting a better deal
and/or priority on mfg time(Superflower), so they've decided to go after the lower/mid-range quality of the matket.

Maybe lab reviews will prove otherwise, and the Capstone G series will be of equivalent quality, but I
suspect it'll be a step down.

Well Cooler Master made the VS series from Enhance and that's in Tier 2. We'll have to wait and see when some reviews surface.

True, Enhance mfg's the VS series and has the ability to mfg quality units, but they also mfg CM's Extreme 2 series, one of which was
reviewed by Gabriel Torres (Hardware Secrets) and he was not kind in his conclusions.

So, yes we'll have to wait to see which way the Capstone G series goes.

For what it's worth, JohnnyGuru posted a review of the Rosewill Quark 1000. Seems to be an o.k. unit. And he confirmed it was manufactured by Enhance.

I'm going to be sorry to see those high quality Capstones disappear.

On another note; last week I believe I saved the PC belonging to the father of a good friend. After getting it back up and running we replaced the PSU with a Seasonic.
Here's what I need to mention and perhaps you can add these manufactures, or at least this brand label, to the Tier 5 list:
E-TECK. I have pictures if you want them, but there is absolutely NO indication who manufactures this p.o.s. (and that does not stand for point-of-sale!). I posted to johnnyguru forum and the closest anyone could come to names were - Linkworld, Deer (both already on T5), Leadman, and Codegen. (might need to add these last two).
I posted on the other disscussion thread and 'tiny voices' found a lot of 5 for sale for $24, but no info on manufactures.
One of the guys on guru saw the same thing I did; there were more components MISSING from the psu main board then installed.
Sure glad it didn't burn down my friends house. Pretty sure it killed a hard drive the week before.

i would like to mention a few brand names as well: Intex, Livetech, Zebronics. i've seen psus from these brands from many posters from India. i know zebronics and intex has some pretty bad psus, livetech as well.
another one i saw was hydance - not sure who the oem is.

They went out of business in 2010. As such I don't recommend buying one

There are a lot of units that should be on the tier 5 list, most of which don't have any reviews or are no longer manufactured, but still sold in high numbers in less developed areas, which makes it unlikely they'll be added to the list. A lot of units, like Zebronics, Thermaltake TR2 and other units that used to be on the Tier 5 list are no longer listed there, even though I think personally that old units should remain on the list since often it's the unit that's already installed and has been for some time whose quality is in question rather than a unit to be purchased, or an older unit that's still being sold but has been removed from the list due to it's discontinued status. But, it is what it is.

Ah, well in all fairness they did have a few decent units but being they have been out of business for over 5 years I would never recommend using one today.

Lets try and stay somewhat on topic guys.

The RMi 750 is the only RMi unit that has been tested so far. That's why no others are listed yet. You can't tust that even different wattage units from the same model line will be the same quality anymore except from a very few manufacturers. CWT ( the OEM of the RMi line ) is not one of them. They are capable of excellence though as evidenced by the RMi 750 and a few other models.
