Karadjgne :
For an FSP, that looks very promising. Would be nice to know the original platform, or if this IS an original. Either way, looks like somebody did their homework.
The 850W-1000W are a custom platform, it's not a rebrand. I published a leak about them
two months before they launched, but unfortunately couldn't know the platform back then.
I don't know if you people heard, but EVGA is also preparing BD and BQ series - both by HEC, ranging from 450W to 850W, and 80+ Bronze.
Here's some information for a start:
http://www.orionpsudb.com/news/evga-will-launch-yet-another-line-bq-by-hec (don't pay a lot of attention to amperage tables in the documents - it's hard to get someone at THIS factory to get the values to line up).
Also excuse me for linking to my own site - you don't have to go there if you don't want to, but there are some more details if you're interested.
And while I'm here: it's month-old news, but maybe it's still news to someone -
Corsair will give the CX line a total refresh, and it will now contain a CX450, CX550 and CX650. They will be built on a new, modern design with DC-DC converters on the secondary - so another step towards a collective phase-out of all the popular group regulated units on the market. They won't use all Japanese-brand capacitors to keep the costs low.
They will also attack the German market with the new "Vengeance" series. Which will be the same as the new DC-DC CX series, but in 400W/500W/550W/650W flavours (German buyers love low load levels), all Japanese-brand capacitors and multiple rails (3x25A and 4x25A, respectively).
Thoughts?
