If the DD is in good shape, go for it.

Even an outdated (and cheap) Rasa block would be a decent choice.

To be perfectly honest- you aren't going to tell any cooling performance between the 2, so the choice is purely aesthetic and financial.

If cyansnow is guaranteeing the block go for it, jump in the pool please!

That saves you 15 bucks to get the water pumping heart of the system, the variable speed MCP655, and it is available at other online stores.

Best Price I could Find $76.95 + Shipping

And it's cheaper than your proposed SVC non variable speed in your OP.

I think i'll call them up next week to check if they have the parts! What really sucks is they aren't open on weekends, so my parents can't take me after school. 🙁

BTW Performance-PCS is in florida i believe and i'm in cali so it takes ~$20 to ship to me!! :O

Cyan's block, how does it look? It looks pretty good to me, i think i'll probably buy it. Just want another opinion.

Buying locally will always limit your options.

Shipping is just a fact of life today to get what you really want.

None of us like to have to pay for shipping but your best advantage is if you're going to have to have what you want shipped, buy it all from the same place that has everything you need, if you can because weight has everything to do with the shipping costs.

Meaning it may cost you the same thing to ship one thing as it does to ship 5, as long as the weight falls in a certain range.

And FYI some places will actually offer free shipping if you spend a certain level of money at their store.

Thing is SVC is near my mom's work so she can swing by there to pick up the order of parts. The problem with buying online is shipping, all of these stores are located so far away..the only part I really have to pay shipping is cyan's block!

Micro res fine, its just somewhere for air bubble to collect really, makes it easier to top up and get the air out,
killcoils are tiny, it will fit in a bayres, inside one of your tubes, pretty much anywhere
I have one in each bayres and a couple in tubes through the loop, as well as my UV's ofc
Moto

one would be enough, the rest is all preference, heck even the one is preference but it does make a loop easy to fill, and it prolongs the life of a pump. so I do see a advantage to having one in the loop but I do not like the swiftech line of reservoirs they are not made well or of good material for a water cooling loop the XSPC or bitspower both make good reservoirs for this purpose. don't get me wrong I like swiftech allot for blocks and rads but not there res.

I called up svc today, they said they don't have mcp655's anymore and carry them. However, I talked with someone there who said they are going to carry some new Alphacool pumps which run at 1500rpm instead of the 1250 the 655 runs at. The guy I talked with has the same case as well and we had a decently long disussion. He said they themselves were going to be putting together wc kits with good parts. Ex240, raystorm, primochill tubing etc. He as well told me I should use the ex240 to cool my 2600k because the rx240 has clearance issues in the cm 690 ii advanced. He also told me I should run a push pull setup with the ex240. Basically Im going to purchase the rad and CPU block next week but wait another week until they carry new parts. All of their new stuff arrives in 2 weeks.
