Hi all,

Been wanting to buy a new hdd for my pc as my current one that came with it: Western Digital Caviar Green 1tb 5400 rpm is having issues where it hangs. Decided to buy a faster and more reliable hdd at 7200 rpm with 1tb and came across the hdd below.

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 rpm.

http://www.ebuyer.com/252858-seagate-1tb-3-5-barracuda-sata-iii-6gb-s-hard-drive-7200rpm-32mb-cache-st31000524as

Wanted to know your input on it, whether there are any better ones for the price range and if it is reliable.

Thanks for reading.

Don't waste your money on a 10k drive. That drive will be fine.

I personally like WD Black Drives, but they're a little more expensive than this one (About 105 pounds).

Try newegg.com, one of the best computer parts site out there. Or microcenter.com.

If you can find a Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB drive, get it.

Or, Hitachi DeskStar 7200rpm 1TB.

Else the Seagate are good.

I just don't like WD, much less Veloci's.
