please help me ,i am new to computers and such, have an understanding of terms, would like to know if it is possible to hook up ps2 to a monitor that only has a vga connector, is there a way to go from my audio/video connectors, to a vga connector for the monitor. have spoke with a company ram electronics and they suggested a device called monitor to convetor stock # 7503w, is this correct and is there another way thank you for your time on this matter.

As far as I am aware there is no cable available to directly connect your ps2 monitor via a VGA connection, however you can buy a video converter box that will convert the RGB YPbPr to VGA.

I have built a cable in the past which allows you to connect a ps2 to a vga connector on a PC monitor but it only worked on monitor that supported a Sync-on-Green signaling. But your best bet is what JollyJay advised on because it will offer much better compatibility.
