I have windows 2008 setup in a virtualbox and I would like to deploy win xp to a laptop that supports PXE. Is that possible ? If so how ?

Is the 2008 VM network adapter in bridged, NAT or host-only mode?

Have you installed the WDS server role on the 2008 VM, it also needs AD, DNS and DHCP

With Windows XP and WDS you have to create a reference image to deploy, so in order to make that reference image you will have to install XP on the laptop anyway.
