My system is an
AMD ryzen 2700x
GeForce GTX 1080
16gb Corsair vengeance ram
MSI 470x m7 AC mobo
Corsair 1000W hx series

I think the hard drive is western digital 1TB m.2 drive

I get the boot code “b1” when booting and windows will not load. It doesn’t post. Everything I can find points towards memory chip failure. So I have ordered PNY xlr8 16gb kit. I think these are better quality than the Corsair vengeance ram. What else could this be though? I will have the RAM to try out tomorrow and would like help troubleshooting this.

Solution
b1 code stands for "Runtime Set Virtual Address MAP End "
which translates to UEFI runtime drivers memory allocation

it could be BIOS bug (see bios updates if any available)
it could be windows bug (see windows updates if available)
it could be RAM issue (see memtest if u have ram errors)
