What is the differences between the Q6600 and the QX6600 in OC , general use , gaming and any other differences.

and if you guys know the differences between
Quad-Core and Quad-core extreme

HELP...........PLZ................

Q I think uses 45mm? It basically runs at a lower temp and less power usage, which allows it to be overclocked higher. I'm not sure, but it seems like the FSB is higher on the Q also (don't quote me on that) It is a better product though than the QX.

Also, quad-core is a lower line than quad-core extreme...simple :)

Neither is 45nm.

QX is the Extreme version of the Quad cores - might have unlocked multipliers, like the X6800.

That's about it. Oh, and it's priced like $600-700 more.

There is no such processor as the QX6600, the extreme quad cores are the QX6700, QX6800, and QX6850. None are 45nm, all are 65nm. The 6850 runs a 1333fsb the others, including the Q6600, run a 1066fsb. The models with the X in the name have an unlocked multiplier.

LOL, gay!

Dragon, a 1.3250 VID q6600 will hit 3.6 Ghz without much of a problem, at like 1.44-1.45 volts, loaded.

For 200 bucks, and they all will hit at least 3.6 Ghz? Now there is the deal! I have a pair of 3.8 q6600's!

And a 275$ Q6700 will get you way over that as well. I have two that get over 3.9 Ghz.

The q6600 Multiplier is unlocked from 6-9.

Thats all you will ever need, unless you are really power hungry! Then you just need a low VID q9450!

Q6600 for 3.6 or lower!

Q6700 for shot at 3.8+
