[citation][nom]grieve[/nom]This Beatles Rock band will be a failure. The Beatles are just too old to have a Video game, Most people who are old enough to enjoy the Beatles aren't playing games anymore. I'm 34, play games and the Beatles are way before my time even... Come to think of it.. I have never known anyone who listens to the Beatles. Considering Sgt. Pepper's was released in 1967 (7 years before my birth) I am thinking most people who listen to the Beatles would likely be in their late 40's or older. I don't see there being a Rock Band market for this age group.[/citation]

My 5 year old daughter loves the Beatles. Her favorites are Yellow Submarine and Drive My Car. My 19 year old stepdaughter has been listening to the Beatles since she was 13. Sorry grieve, but you are dead wrong on the younger generation not listening to the Beatles. With the crap that's out today, listening to the Beatles is refreshing.

I might be interesting in buying the remasters on a select few. Abbey Road & White Album come to mind. If those sound good, then I might venture out and get a couple more.

If the game works with my Guitar Hero World tour Drums and Guitar then I may consider buying the game, if not...no way am I forking over 200 dollars for more drums and guitars, bad enough I can't sell the kit I have to gamestop....

[citation][nom]dingumf[/nom]Also what happened to my first comment.I wrote:"I already have Beetles stuff. And they're not made in China teehee"[/citation]

It's on page one. I read it about 45 seconds ago. :)

No it's more like having their own taste and not saying they like a group cause of their fame, not everyone will like the Beatles, and not everyone has too. There will NEVER be a group or type of music everyone will like, and it has nothing to do with age, it's just what people like.

Ok I'm sorry, after listening to "Yellow Submarine" in YouTube, I say no. I don't like their music. I'm over 25 and I do like classical music and oldies like Andy William, Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong.

i like how the proponents of this new beatlemania give proof by way of children liking it... forgetting that these same children made miley cyrus and high school musical financial successes... in the end, i'll have to chime in with my dislike of this ancient material and stick to complex music by the likes of Deicide and Nile.

Deicide?? Just because it's complex doesn't make it good. Hehe. Deicide...anyways. The point that was being made earlier was how relevant Beatles music was today and it is very relevant. Not only kids but adults such as myself. Being a musician, I can still appreciate what they were up against back in the early 60's. They wrote imaginative songs that took real talent. Deicide? Please. They can play their instruments but can they be imaginative?

[citation][nom]billin30[/nom]I couldn't care less about the Beatles...I know they were a great band like 50 years ago, but I really dont care.[/citation]
Do yourself a favor and take a listen....

the beatles are hardly imaginative... just playing tunes blacks in the american south were playing for years before... just like elvis...

why didn't you slam Nile as well?

The Beatles are the most overrated band of all time. Most amateur musician are better. They just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Had they come along in 80s or 90s, they would have gotten nowhere.

Yeah, I Am The Walrus, Sgt Pepper, Tomorrow Never Knows, etc...traditional Black American songs. True their beginnings were not much different than some of the other pop acts of the time, but once Rubber Soul came along, they went their own way and did things that pop acts were not doing. Seriously you want to compare Elvis to the Beatles? Elvis did one thing and that's it. His catalogue was not nearly as diverse as the Beatles. Certainly nothing he did could be considered cutting edge musically (he could moves his hips). For the time, the Beatles did things unheard of for a rock act at the time inspiring tons of musicians for decades to come. Maybe you should read up on what they and George Martin were doing in the studio. Recording techniques that set the stage for bands like Pink Floyd and more progressive bands.

Don't know Nile. I know Deicide. But given that they are a death metal band as well, I have a pretty good idea of what they sound like. I used to listen to metal in my late teens and early 20's, but then I grew tired of the repetitiveness of the genre. You want complex? Listen to a Miles Davis or Charlie Parker album. Guys that put their soul into their music. But I'm betting that you are probably too narrow minded to listen to that as well.

Sure im interested in playing the Rockband version, sounds like fun, and my wife will actually like lots of the songs.

Anyone know how the mono set works? like, does it come with Mono for the albums that were recorded that way, but the rest of the originals that were recorded in stereo come as stereo, or were they downmixed to mono? LOL

Yes. Today I bought the stereo boxed set at a brick Barnes and Noble. (Actually this is a wedding anniversary gift from my wife.) I'm 62 and Beatles music never gets boring for me. I also listen to Sirius in my car lot's of music from the 40's, 50's and 60's.

Why bother with the music, since their music label took so long on releasing their music for itunes I already pirated all their songs, remixes, and everything else during the past couple years.
