Considering the ipod is $199 for 8GB (overpriced there) and $299 for 32GB

I would like to see the ipad go for $249 for 16GB wifi only and $299 with 3G + $15/month for unlimited Data.
prices increase by $100 for double storage capacity (both 3G and wifi only modely)

so 32GB = $349 & $399
64GB = $449 & $499

and there SHOULD be a 128GB model considering the ipod touch goes up to 64GB.

Of course, unless it was less than $100 I wouldn't buy one regardless without multitasking and Flash.

Really I'm waiting for some competition in this "new" device sector (Please, please let the courier be real) rather than just jumping on the apple iBandwagon.

Psh.. if it was a full-blown OS/X I'd buy it now...

Giant iPod? $50.?

... Heck I don't even own an iPod.

I'm in the boat that it feels like a large iPod Touch, so somewhere in that range - certainly not double (like it is now) - so maybe a bit more than a Touch of the same storage capacity - 32GB say something like $300 - $400.

$500 for 32GB and 3G.

I'm more interested in Sony Ericsson phones and the Symbian OS honestly.
While I wouldn't mind a iPod touch, I don't want a iPad or iPhone.

I'd pay $200 for it. $500 is way too much to pay for a device with such limited usefulness. I have a laptop that would be just as convenient in %75 percent of use cases I can think of for iPad.

[citation][nom]idisarmu[/nom]$199 CAD for 8gb, $229 for 16gb, $279 for 32gb, $349 for 64gb. I have no use for 3g, but if I did, I'd pay an extra $50 for that.... maybe.[/citation]

+1

[citation][nom]Hilarion[/nom]Useless and worthless to me. Not even a penny. If I was given one I'd sell it or trash it.[/citation]
Preferably trash it to keep the infection from spreading.

I almost just ordered one. Until I got to the checkout and the total was $800!?!?. So I added a few accessories, but that's just way too much for what it is. It dawned on me that I could upgrade my current TV or build a nice HTPC for that. I can't justify spending that much on a gadget. If it was $200-$300 I would of bought it.

Add a usb port and sell it for $149.99. I wouldnt buy one at that price, but thats about what it should be for what they give you. Needs at least a usb port added.

I'm laughing at you guys saying you wouldn't pay a dime for it, wouldn't pick it up if it was laying on the ground for free, and would probably trash it if it was given to you. Who do you think you're kidding? Seriously. There is no way any of you actually do any of what you are claiming that you would and if you actually did you would be an idiot. There's no way you'd trash a $500+ piece of equipment, no way you'd walk right past a free iPad. No way.

Wow some of you guys are delusional. Can't even answer a simple question straight without reverting into MS fanboy mode.

[citation][nom]Digital Dissent[/nom]Its just a overpriced overhyped machine ripped off an iPhone that cant make calls with an hd screen. So about 50 bucks more than an iphone. Lets be honest thats all it is.[/citation]
