quantum fireball plus as

i´m gonna buy a new hdd. is the "quantum fireball plus as" a good performer? or is it better to buy a "ibm deskstar 75"

Both are good performers. I personally prefer the IBMs. You might want to look into IBM's new line, the 60GXPs.

The AS is a bit louder than the 75 or 60GXP in my experience with it. I don't see much performance difference in general use between the IBM or Quantum.
