Question question!

im trying to find a new laptop, ive stumbled upon an aspire (dont know which model, but im pretty sure its an aspire 3) with a ryzen 5 2500u. ive asked some people in a discord server about it and they all told me to avoid it, its 80 euros, what do you guys think?

I use a very similar machine for work at a remote office. It isn't very powerful and cannot (officially) update to W11, but it is perfectly workable for office type work, using Word and Excel, web pages, browsing, media consumption. I have been able to use it for a few older games such as Civ 5 and Soulstorm with the settings all low @ 720.

IDK, I would think at 80 Euro, if it works correctly and has a decent battery that isn't a whole lot of cash.

im mostly planning to use it for everyday stuff and some lightweight (rain world, terraria, stuff like that) gaming to mediumweight, do you think it'll suffice?

I would check the specifics of the games.

Of the ones I noted above, I had to keep Civ down to only one other opponent as it would start giving me grief when the map started getting big and lots of NPC activity.
