Im building budget(ish) pc, and I want to get the new Pentium g3258, and I have a few questions, When I saw the specs, it states that on 'memory support', it says that its only '1333mhz'. Does this mean that I can only get 1333mhz memory? And another, should I get this CPU?

Thanks In Advance 😀

Hi, I know this is an old thread, but i'm about to make my first ever pc build! I'm looking to make an almost identical build to yours.
So i'm just wondering how your build is going now, any problems or issues or whatnot, also, when you overclocked, what CPU cooler or fans did you use? (as I said, i'm a noob, any details would be much appreciated!)

This was my stepson's build and it is awesome for mmo's. 65-90 fps in wow on ultra at 1080p and comparable fps for similar mmo's. We used a Xigmatek Dark Knight air cooler and added a 2nd Xigmatek fan set up as push/pull off the pwm mobo header. He uses a silverstone Temjin case which comes with one of the best stock fans on the market. The intake/exhaust ratio was about 2:1. Most forum posts say the G3258 can be reliably oc'd to 4.5 ghz on air and 4.8 on an aio water cooler. We had a friend who worked for Apple oc and burn test it to 4.5 but my son then lowered it to 4.3 I think because his ambient room temp was higher than in my study. The 750ti is absolutely a sufficient card for mmo's as is the Pentium cpu. He cannot however play titles like Dragon Age which would require an i5. But his setup is Z97 mobo chipset, easily upgraded with $200 for an i5. You may want to consider a Gtx 960 though for $80 more, the performance gain is cost effective. They even have 4gb vram cards in the 960 for say BF4 or modded skyrim...just something to consider.
