Radeon 5830 1gb vs gtx 460 768mb vs waiting for 6xxx series

I have a new XFX Radeon HD 5830 1GB, still in it's unopened original packaging in my room.
Currently I'm running a Radeon 4870 512 MB.
I'm not sure if I should replace the 4870 with the 5830 or buy a GTX 460 768 MB and sell the Radeon 5830.
I bought the 5830 for $179.99, and I can get a $20 mail in rebate, so overall price would be $159.99.
On the other hand the GTX 460 768 MB can be obtained for around the same price: $169.99.
The GTX 460 1GB is not an option because it's too expensive for my taste.

I game with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. From what I have researched so far, the GTX 460 seems to be a better option at that resolution. I'm not sure if the 192-bit bus will be a bottleneck though.

So now I have 3 options:
1. use the 5830
2. sell the 5830 and buy a gtx 460 768 MB
3. sell the 5830 and wait for the upcoming 6xxx series, which might see a price drop in the other cards.

I would prefer option 1 or 2 as I really don't want to wait a few months before the 6xxx series are on the shelves. So I guess my question comes down to:
for gaming at 1920 x 1080 resolution, would a GTX 460 768MB be sufficient or would a 5830 with its 1gb buffer be better?

TDP shouldn't be an issue as I have a 950W PSU (overkill, I know. ) I'm using a i7-920 CPU @ stock clock (Didn't see the need to overclock it yet).
