radeon 9000?

what is the general concensus here on the radeon 9000 with 64mb memeory? agp slot, i have a geforce2 400 and am looking to upgrade but only have about 50 bucks to spend, i can get these new on ebay for 40 to 55 bucks, is this a good card? i dont want my flight sims to be choppy like they are now with the geforce. my system is athlon XP1800+, 256mb crucial ddr, maxtor 30 gig hd, 4 channel 5.1 soundcard,nic, floppy, sony 24X burner, msi KM2M mainboard. thanks.

He said he wants to play flight sims. I dont know much about the 9000 but depending on what flight sim you are playing and what OS you are running you may want to invest in some more ram first.

If you have the GF2 400MX. <i>ANY</i> new card will be better. I don't know much about the cheaper radeons, but I'm sure the older 8500 is better. Another card you could look at is the GF3 ti500. If memory serves me, it performs on par or better than the 9000 pro

Radeon 9100 (formerly called 8500) might be a good idea.It is much better than the 9000 and even 9200.Damn ATI and their misleading product numbers!

sorry, i am running win98SE and i play ms combat flight sim3, warbirds, starfleet command, and some hasbro games, like sorry! and monopoly, etc... thanks ufo, but i dont need a voodoo2 card!

If possible save for another month and wait for the holiday season you might get some specials. If not i have a radeon 8500 and it plays new games decently. Just got Call of Duty and it runs on high detail with a good framerate. Also plays Halo on medium detail okay. Havent ever played any flight sims but i think its a good card so you could get the 9100 if it is the same as the 8500. <A HREF="http://www.pricewatch.com" target="_new"> pricewatch </A> has them starting at 50.

No shopping around for a Ti4200, I've already pointed to one that is sold for 80 schmuckeroos.

well i think i am going to go with radeon,9100, or 8500 i have been seeing alot of radeon 7500's with 64mb are they even worth considering?
