I've recently upgraded my system to a GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard.

I've bought some RAM, which are both compatible with the motherboard. The brands are

KingSton

and

ADATA

I'm a newb at building pc's so I was wondering what is the best way to setup the memory so they dont conflict? Before I had the Kingston memory in a slot that was next to the ADATA memory and my pc slowed down drastically.

Thanks for the help :D

Always use RAM in matching pairs in dual channel systems. The specs need to be identical. It's best to buy the RAM in matching pairs. And even better to have all four sticks the same if you populate all the slots. And always read the manual. Pairs must be in matching color slots.
