This is for a friend, we are using the IGPU on the motherboard and we are troubleshooting the motherboard using a motherboard speaker. The AMI BIOS is versions 2101.
We reached his desktop using a VGA cable on his motherboard since HDMI doesnt work on his motherboard (for some reason) and the RAM seemed to be in use. However the motherboard speaker made 1 short beep - I am assuming thats to show the motherboard is working. Then another seperate 3 short beeps after that , its an AMI BIOS and 3 beeps indicate a "Base 64k memory failure", so a faulty RAM stick. We have one DDR3 RAM stick, and we made it to the desktop (it was pretty slow) but despite 3 beeps it POST'd. We opened chrome tabs nd other applications too, his PC was slow but we were running off the IGPU rather than his actual GPU which we thought was the problem (it might actually not be the problem now). What is the issue here?
Thanks!
CPU: AMD FX 8320

Ram: 8GB DDR3 RAM (1 stick)
SSD/HDD: Western Digital 1TB HDD
GPU: Radeon R9 280x
