RAM - Laptop motherboard compatibility question

Greetings,

I need to upgrade a lenovo legion y520 laptop with new RAM. Here are the specs of both:

Legion specs:

CPU: Intel i7 7700HQ
GPU: G.F. Gtx 1060 max-q 6gb ver.
old RAM: 8gb single channel RAMAXEL.
I don't know how to check for the platform model (Is it the 15ikbn or the other version?)

New RAM model: HX424S14IB2K2/16
I want to install two of these modules 2x8gb in dual channel mode.

My question is: Is this laptop compatible with this new ram model?

Go to the Kingston ram upgrade selection app.
Enter the make/model of your laptop and you will get a list of supported ram upgrades.

The laptop model should be on a sticker on the bottom.
CPU-Z may also identify your laptop.
