RAM speed not lowering

I'm sorry I ask this but I am a little new on overclocking. I have an x3440 and a asus p7h55-m lx as my motherboard. I can overclock but then when I put my bclk at around 180 with a multiplier of 19 my computer crashes because the memory overclocks itself, I tried lowering the cas latency and messing with the dram settings but I am new and nothing I do seems to lower my RAM speeds so what can I do to lower my RAM speeds? Thank you in advance

Memory is not overclocking itself, you are doing it thru BCLK and multiplier. It will run (or not run) depending on those settings.

Is there any way I can make just the processor clock get higher? Not the memory clock

Can't you change memory multiplier ?

Or go to a Sane bclk and raise the multi on the CPU?
