Hey all, I've built a computer this past november with the following specifications:
CPU: Ryzen 7 1700
GPU: Gigabyte RX 580 8GB
Motherboard: MSI A320M Gaming Pro
RAM: G.Skill Aegis 2x8GB F4-2400C15D-16GIS
Storage: Samsung 860 EVO 250Gb, Seagate Barracuda 2Tb
PSU: Rosewill Capstone 650M
Now, I assembled everything, but my RAM was causing lots of memory related BSODs, even though in msi's website, it is listed as compatible with my mobo.
I've tested the RAM with Memtest86, at it said everything was fine, so I tried exchanging my RAM with a friend of mine.
My friend's PC is using a Gigabyte A320M-S2H mobo, and theoretically, my RAM shouldn't work on his mobo (since Gigabyte doesn't list it as compatible), but it actually works buttery smooth.
Since then, I've been using his RAM and he's been using mine, so my problem has been solved.
I just really want to know the reason why it works on an "incompatible" mobo but not on a compatible one.
