Great, Rambus just won extended life support.

Maybe we'll get lucky and Rambus won't continue overcharging, might see XDR2 video cards. However, we would then have tow companies that love to overprice their hardware working together... At least Nvidia isn't as bad as Rambus was.

What does this article have to do with AMD? Besides, AMD already came out and said that they want nothing to do with Rambus. Nvidia probably won't do anything here either, but it's more likely for Nvidia to have Rambus memory than for AMD.

Besides that, Rambus's current memory tech is the best DRAM we talk about. Rambus's XDR2 is twice as fast per watt as GDDR5 and can reach far higher speeds without harming stability. Even Rambus's older XDR is slightly better than GDDR5 and XDR is older than GDDR5. However, Rambus is a patent troll that other companies seem insistent on avoiding and who can blame them, given Rambus's history?

Spam post of someone I already responded too just right above this spam post, STFU and GTFO.
