Hello,

Like a dummy I ran both FIXBOOT and FIXMBR to try and solve problems I
was having with booting up very slowly.

After reboot, my D: drive will not appear in My Computer, Windows
Explorer, or from DOS.

But it is showing in the device manager and if I put in the Windows XP
Pro CD it will boot up off of it. So it is there and working, just
not accessible once the computer boots.

Can any help?

Open the Disk manager. If you see the DVD there, assign to it any drive
letter you like.
