[SOLVED] Random Blue Screens

Hey all, GTX1070 owner here. Around new years I started getting BSOD restart's randomly, about once every other day. This was just after the Geforce 461.09 update. Usually says Thread Exception not handled or similar. Quick google foo says the errors were graphics driver related. So I did the safe-mode DDU. I did a clean install of display driver dated Sept 2020 ; 456.71 , when I had no problems. Was fine for a week but now they back.

Any idea why ddu didn't fix it? All system temps are fine. Idle GPU= 35 CPU=45. Load GPU=60 CPU=75. Nothing is overclocked beyond factory boosts. Do you think my 1070 may be on the way out and throwing errors?

if changing Nvidia drivers doesn't help, reinstall Windows and all system drivers.

Could you post your system specs (components model #s).
Did you happen to catch the BSOD error code?
Does it happen on idle, load or both?

The 1070 is a "Gigabyte" Founders Edition with the blower fan removed and replaced with the Arctic Accelero Xtreme III cooler.
Crashes happen during idle or light load and oddly when web pages loading in. The last 2 times I was compare shopping on Amazon.

I think it's time to do a clean Win 10 install.
