Hi,

I have been getting random BSOD crashes today (has happened twice now) and would like to sort it out. The two crashes are the same and are as follows: (screenshots from blue screen view)

If anyone can help me identify what is causing this, that would be much appreciated.

Please let me know if there is anything I am missing to assist identifying this.

Thank you.

@Colif Okay so.......
  1. I have run a full diagnostic scan on the 860 EVO which was 100% good. The 970 PRO it says this drive does not support this feature.
  2. I have uninstalled all Gigabyte software i.e app centre, easytune etc etc. + uninstalled Fuji Xerox in programs and features + unplugged the printer.
  3. Im not sure about:

  • Should I now update my nvidia drivers using GeForce experience to the latest or do i just keep using the ones provided by Windows?
  • Im not sure about your comments regarding netio/lan drivers - should i be taking any action here?

lets see if removing gigabyte programs makes any difference before doing anything else.
Im thinking not because my latest crash (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA) i had already removed all Gigabyte apps....

One more thing, I havent removed any drivers or done anything there yet, after seeing my list of drivers, is there anything i should be removing from device manager perhaps? Ive only uninstalled apps so far, yet to touch drivers...... If driver/s are the issue, should i not be trying to uninstall questionable ones?

You didn't mention that. If you removed them on the 8th I can see the last time any Gigabyte was mentioned was that day, now only thing crashing is the Xerox drivers. I don't suppose there are newer, they must be part of windows since I don't see them mentioned in crashes. They might not be cause of BSOD, but alst BSOD was the printer program, so maybe.

we already been over the netio thing, it happened on Wednesday, it relates to this post = https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr..._exception_not_handled.3710843/#post-22376422

Okay understood. I just removed Xerox program and unplugged it - will that sort out the drivers or is there something else i have to do to manually remove xerox drivers?

As for netio, I see your comment but im not sure what action i have to take there (if any). I advised using Ethernet, did update my VPN software but not too sure what else to take from it.

Really sorry for my lack of understanding and appreciate your guidance once again.

Drivers only work if the device is plugged in, so if Printer unplugged it should be all you need to do

I think we wait and see what happens next. See what next BSOD shows if you get one. Your network drivers are the same ones I have so should be okay. it might have been the printer drivers tripping them up.

Okay i understand. Will wait and see how we go.

If it is the printer, do i just get another printer? how would you resolve something like that.
