Hello there!

Im expiring an issue with pc randomly shutting down and then restarting, so wanted to hear some thoughs about it
Ive been having this issue for mby 6 or more months. It can crash on idle, but more likely it will happen in games
I try some random things that can fix the issue, and sometimes it works for weeks/days but the issue always comes back
I tried a different gpu (1050ti), same issue
I also tried diffrent RAM kit, same issue
Sometimes BIOS update could fix the issue for a month (not anymore)
Somehow replacing 3080 to 1050ti and then replacing it back can also fix the issue for days/weeks
tried lowering GPU power target in precision x1, sometimes helps but not permanent. Currently i have it set at 80% to make crashes less likely

specs:
  • Mobo: MSI MPG Z690 Force
  • CPU: i7-12700K
  • GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 XC3 ULTRA GAMING
  • RAM: Kingston FURY 32 GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6400 MHz Renegade Silver RGB (KF564C32RSAK2-32)
  • PSU: MSI MPG A850GF
  • SSD: Samsung SSD 980 PRO 1TB (M2 pci 4.0) + Samsung SSD 980 PRO 500GB
  • Cooling: CORSAIR iCUE H100i (CW-9060050-WW)
  • Monitors: Samsung G7 27" + HP X24ih
Also notable things:
Im NOT running ram at 6400 MHz, but lower
It doesn't always crash, sometimes i can play or do whatever for weeks. But if the issue comes back, it can start crashing on idle or after a few mins in game
by crash i mean that the system and psu completely shuts down and then tries to boot again
nothing is overclocked
nothing is overheated
2 separate power cables for gpu
after crash, the system boots again and during post or windows load it may crash again
once it crashed during memtest86 loaded from usb
unfortunately, I dont have another psu for test

Just a test.

Try a different wall socket.

Just a test.

Try a different wall socket.
Tried that, also tried to separate monitors and pc (that how i have it for a while)

However, i believe i indeed have not very stable electricity, specifically lately. Voltage can be 200-235 depending on the day time, it doesnt usually spike tho

I have a wattmeter if it matters
