Hello,

I ran out of ideas. I mainly play Overwatch, but the problem is in every game I play. For maybe 30 minutes of gaming the laptop runs smoothly. After some time I get random fps spikes. The spikes are sometimes so bad that the laptop freezes for like a second or so. I tried reinstalling the drivers, os, changing the battery settings, etc. Nothing helped. The temperature of GPU is around 70C the whole time with clock around 1250. I found out that when the spike happens the clock goes down to around 250.

Specs (https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Nitro-515-15-6-FHD-Radeon/dp/B07KGC7DYP ):
  • AMD Ryzen 5 2500U Quad-Core Processor (Up to 3.6GHz)
  • AMD Radeon RX 560X with 4 GB of dedicated GDDR5 VRAM
  • 15.6" Full HD (1920 x 1080) widescreen LED-backlit IPS Display
  • 8GB DDR4 2400MHz Memory & 1TB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
  • 802.11ac WiFi (Dual-Band 2.4GHz and 5GHz)
  • Dual-Fan Cooling
  • Iron-Red Backlit Keyboard
  • 1 - USB Type-C port: USB 3.1 Gen 1 (up to 5 Gbps), 1 - USB 3.0 Port featuring Power-off Charging), 2 - USB 2.0 Ports & 1 - HDMI 2.0 Port with HDCP Support
I will be glad for any solution that could help me. Thank you!

Does it also happen with other games ?
If this is the only game you have; it won't hurt if you downloaded any demo .
It happens with league of legends aswell. I red something on reddit about adrenalin version 19 works better than 20 with my specific laptop, so I uninstalled the newest one and downloaded older 19. Will tell you how it works.
