wondering if anyone has any idea about this problem I'm having, my pc will randomly reboot , bios will occasionally during these reboots flag CPU as overheating, when I monitor the temps there is nothing out of the ordinary, the max peak under load is 90 degrees C, average in hwinfo is about 77 and average in ryzen master is about 64. All other temps on the motherboard look fine, nothing out of the ordinary. On reboot it will sometimes not show any warning at all, it is very inconsistent. wondering if anyone has any idea what this could be? all bios settings are unchanged with the exception of fan speeds and ram frequency. any help appreciated

Ryzen 7 5800X
Cooler Master Hyper 212
GTX 1080ti
MSI APG A850GF
4x 8GB Corsair Vengeance 3200Mhz

run stress tests on the CPU and watch temperatures
cinebench or similar

which motherboard is it? BIOS up to date?
my bad, forgot to add motherboard as had to run out. MSI B550-A PRO, last updated the BIOS about 3 months ago I believe
I'll test cinebench, though last time I used it to stress test temps capped at a constant 90 degrees C (no changes to the PC since then)

Have you recently added any new software, etc. to the machine since the issue started?
I have added multiple, though for added context this issue has been occurring on and off for several months (around 3-4), though it has become much more frequent as of late. it started with the occasional reboot, maybe once a week/every 2 weeks, no overheat warning, just reboot. then in the last month it has become much more common, it was happening about 2 or 3 times a day, sometimes overheat warning sometimes nothing. then a week went by with no reboots at all, I had changed nothing during this week and have no idea why it is so inconsistent

You you checked all your drivers in Device Manager for any yellow warning signs?
Have you run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool to check your RAM?
When is the last time you reinstalled Windows?
device manager has no warning, all drivers up to date as of a few days ago. I ran TM5 overnight to check RAM, no errors reported, ran it again while at work to double check as pc went to sleep 3 hours into the first test (lol), test completed with no errors reported.
last windows install was I'd say about 1-2 years ago.

There are no drives listed in your parts list. Have you checked the health of all your drives?

ST1000DM003-1ER162 1TB
Crucial MX500 500GB
WD_BLACK SN850X 1TB

I recall hwinfo displaying remaining estimated drive lifespan and it displayed that the drive I have windows installed on as being 0%, however I check now and no longer see that statistic listed, only for my m.2 SSD. one weird thing to note is that it is displaying a total host reads of 23GB, total writes as 171219GB, other drives look completely normal, this is the only outlier.

ran cinebench, CPU at constant 90 degrees C, displayed in hwinfo and ryzen master. PC rebooted about 1 minute in, gave temp warning. rebooted, launched cinebench again, same reading, same average frequency of 4.3-4.4, completed the full 10 minutes under full load without reboot.

CrystalDiskInfo will give you a Health Status for each of your drives. Western Digital Dashboard software will also tell you if there are any firmware updates available for your SSD.

Renew thermal paste, temperatures should be like 80°C in normal game usage
in cinebench 90°C is ok, but not that nice cause 90 is the temperature, the Ryzen should throttle boost frequency.
Did you OC the system in any way? Uninstall all tools like ryzen master and co.

renewed thermal paste, capped temps at 85 degrees, undervolted -20, no overclock, just standard PBO. still rebooted.

try a different PSU

to have a look what the problem could be:
run userbenchmark.com and post the http link of your result, e.g. https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/28977730

Reset the BIOS by jumper clrCMOS or JBAT or similar (eventually you will have to set the boot priority correctly after that)

check windows integrity
open the command prompt as administrator and type DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

clean boot

check the memory by running memtest.org usb autoinstaller (bootable USB flash drive)

run the RAM @2133MHz to check if it happens then too

check the hard drive for errors with its manufacturer´s tool

use ddu uninstaller and reinstall the latest graphics driver

check a minimum system:
one RAM, CPU + cooler, PSU, GPU, motherboard, monitor, keyboard, one HDD/SSD

tested a variety of possible solutions, ended with undervolting by -10, as well as overriding CPU NB/SoC voltage to 1.1 from auto, seems to have made the system more stable. no reboots in 3 days so far. further testing is needed to see if this is a long term solution.
I did find a few posts online stating that this exact issue was originating from running corsair vengeance RAM with 5800x, though I'm not sure if that is the true cause or merely coincidence. I greatly appreciate your help.
